Here's a photo of our tree and our three stockings hanging by the fireplace. We (and Santa of course) were done shopping for Dominic in October (yes, October), but didn't wrap most things until Christmas Eve. So, that's an early start and procrastination wrapped up in one example. Weird, huh?
Christmas is a day that's definitely been fun before (and of course, I always remember the real reason for the season). But, there's a whole new meaning when you have a beautiful little one to celebrate with.
He definitely enjoyed unwrapping his presents, although we had to help him get started. I don't think he quite gets presents yet because he wasn't really aware of what was under the wrapping paper until we helped him start to open each present. Also, present-unwrapping is kind of a long process since he'd open one present and want to play with it immediately, completing ignoring everything still waiting for him underneath our tree.
My most memorable gift was from Todd's parents. It was a giant blanket with my baby boy's face on it, so I went nuts when I opened it. I'm sure it would be super comfortable and keep me nice and warm, but I can't bring myself to use it yet. It's just too nice to look at now.
I hope everyone had as nice a holiday season as I felt I had.
